  Very disappointed in this business.  Spent a sizable amount of money for a seafood fest party we were having for Christmas Eve.  My wife goes to pick up the order and they say that some unknown person with gray hair came in and collected the order.  The store claimed that this person knew the details of the order and therefore some miscreant my wife or I knew must have overheard us talk about the order in person or on social media. This was what the guy told us must have happened. The difficulty with the story is that no one made a social media post about it and how would this mystery person know we had not picked it up yet when they entered the store to hoodwink us out of our order?  No one talks about any seafood fest they are planning with acquaintances by talking about the exact details of what they purchased, who they purchased it from, and when exactly they are picking up the order.  If the store simply gave an order away to some guy who decided to walk in and randomly see of he could steal an order by saying he was there to pick up an order that did not belong to them (which itself seems pretty unlikely) if the store just handed it over to this random it would be their fault.  It's not our fault they gave the order to some guy who had no connection to us.  But the store said we would have to "pay cost" to get another order and that we could not get our money back.  More disappointed in the dishonesty about what happened than the money.  If you mess up then own it, don't make up some elaborate lie that is so silly that it makes no sense. My wife and I are young and the only people we speak to with gray hair are our parents and other family members. The suggestion that some guy skillfully planned and executed a seafood heist and knew when our order would be there and when we would be picking it up and performed the theft at the perfect time is ridiculous. Like I say the dishonesty about it bothered me more than anything.

  THE best fish store I have ever been in. It would do well in Vancouver- we are so fortunate to have it in little old Vernon. Bab and Kathy, owners , are always there- and it shows.

  If you like damaged knives with grinder marks and shards of metal this is the place to go. If you prefer beautiful sharp knives Do NOT have them sharpened by this establishment. Horrible work on my beautiful Shun and Henkel Twin knives. We went in to complain and show them the poor workmanship and (he) became angry and threw the money, for our refund, back on the counter. (I wouldn't even give it one star, if that was an option.)
